suffering and facilitating spiritual, physical and emotional
healing and growth for our community and God’s world.
- Through faith-based psychotherapy, the ECRH
helps persons struggling with internal conflict, anger,
personal loss, relationship difficulties, family problems
and career demands which often result in isolation, depression,
anxiety, frustration, estrangement and grief.
- Through consultation, counseling and education
the ECRH supports and enriches the work of professionals
in religion, mental health, medicine, business and education.
- Through education and training ECRH enriches
the work of volunteer caregivers within our community.
- Through the combined support and efforts
of the Board, Staff, Congregations and Community, ECRH
provides hope.
OUR MINISTRIES
Since 1967 as a not-for-profit organization, the Ecumenical
Center for Religion and Health has served as a bridge
between the health and religious communities. Dedicated
to linking the health of the body, the mind and the spirit,
five areas provide programs and services:
- Counseling
The Center offers faith-involved counseling that facilitates
change, bringing about mental, emotional and spiritual healing
and growth.
- Pastoral Care Education
Our specially-designed training equips clergy, church professionals
and lay leaders to understand and respond effectively to
daily human crisis by integrating faith with behavioral
sciences.
- Consulting
The Center provides business persons an opportunity to reflect
and integrate their professional lives with their faith.
Congregations receive help with conflict resolution, strategic
planning and mission development.
- Bioethics
Bioethics training equips healthcare professionals to appropriately
address the ethical issues they face in their daily practice.
- Special Programs
A wide variety of courses, workshops, seminars and support
groups provide the community at large with information and
guidance.
